A few highlights to mention...
Craig got a real life nursing job at San Jose Regional Medical Center. Although the night shift is kicking his butt, he is LOVING his new job.

March Madness

1. Dad's bday

I love celebrating my parent's birthdays. Mostly so that I can get pictures like this. I love seeing all of the grandkids surrounding my parents and watching them blow out the candles with them.

As Sev is saying these days...it was "Epic"

2.Easter in LA

We spent Easter in LA. 

Craig & I got the stomach flu so most of it is a blur.

The kids went to the Dodgers game, we did an egg hunt in the backyard at my sister's house, took family pictures, celebrated my dad's birthday & watched my dad drive a race car in Fontana! Fun filled weekend!

3. Dad's Race Car Ride

For those of you who do not know my dad, he is a race car fan. Mostly indy cars but he'll watch a NASCAR race if it's on :)

For Christmas my mom got my dad a ride in an actual race car in Fontana, CA.

My whole fam went down south to see my dad race. SOOOOO cool.

My dad said it was a life highlight and he wants to do it again.

4. Muir Woods

If you live in California, or don't and are visiting GO TO MUIR WOODS.

SUCH a beautiful place! I would recommend going on a week day vs. a weekend. The parking was the only dreadful thing about the experience.

5. My bday dinner in the city with Craig, Becki & Scott

For my birthday, my sister in law Becki thought of a great idea to go have dinner at our favorite spot "The Cliff House" and then go see our cousin, Jeremy's band play in Oakland. Well, by the time we finished dinner the house was PACKED to see Jeremy so we couldn't get in. BUT we took this photo as proof to Jeremy that we did try to get in :)

Do you ever have a vision of how you think a cake, or a project will turn out and it completely flops?

We have known each other for 15 YEARS

February

TOP EIGHT FOR FEBRUARY 

1. Liv's baptism

First of all I can't believe my baby girl is 8!!! In some ways she is 8 going on 16. I'm starting to panic about the teen years. I think the young years are challenging but manageable. I think the teen years will end up breaking me. 

The baptism was great. I asked Liv how she felt immediately after she came out of the water, with a huge grin she said "COLD". 

Thank you to everyone who attended! And those who came in from out of town to be here. She really felt special. It was a special day.

2. Sev's final day of basketball...I asked him if he wanted to play again, he said "No I think I want to try fencing". What??? 

3. Sev's dinner recommendation ( for the record, he spells better now)

I'll translate: "Mom, why can't we have anything instead of chicken noodle soup" 

4. In FEBRUARY!!! Sev jumped in our freezing cold swimming pool. 
I am pretty sure a monetary bribe was involved.
And his uncle Scott was involved also

5. Liv's good luck note for Craig

Craig was stressed about a test and Liv brought this into him the night before.

6. Sev's quote of the month: 

"Mom!!!  I want a brother! I'm getting tired of Liv!!!"

7. My niece, Ella and my nephew Dexter that have THE SAME BIRTHDAY both turned 2 this month!!!

8. Deep thought by Olivia 

We had sent Olivia to bed. I went in to give her a kiss, she looked deep in thought and said

"Mom wouldn't it funny if a pancake caught on fire"?

Yes Olivia, it would :)

Happy New Year! 2013

I am excited for a new year. 

I hope 2013 brings a new job for Craig, travel, weight loss, and more memories to document :)

January's Top Ten

1. It's official...

Craig is a hot nurse or Murse

He has passed the board of registered nursing, he has his nursing license in hand and the wait is on. 

Resume's have been submitted. 

Cross your fingers that a hospital picks up this guy soon :)

2. Gigi's 91st
Craig's gramma turned 91 this month.
She is a true inspiration to me. She is sharp as a tac, has a fantastic sense for life and humor and she is a joy to be around. PS and only one broken bone in those 91 years, Good job GIGI! Keep on truckin'!

3. Legos

We saw the cooooolest Lego city on display in the Palo Alto History Museum

It was quite popular. We stood in line for 30 minutes to see it.

4. New Addition

That's right we got a Prius!!!

We have caught some flack for getting a Prius.

Things like.... "Minus 5 man points for Craig" or "Are you drinking your super food smoothie in your new Prius you hippie?" & " Do you feel like less of a man Craig?"

You know what suckers? We have only spent $30 in gas in 3 weeks  :)

5. Crazy Hair Day

Sev & Liv participated in Crazy Hair Day at school

They look like a couple of punk rockers and they look too much like teenagers!

6. Northern California Weather Advisory

I check the weather constantly. (It is one of my favorite habits that I got from my dad)

I thought this weather advisory for our area on my Weather Channel app was funny. 

Our families that are truly freezing in places where there is actual bitter weather would find this humorous as well....

IMPACTS: OUTDOOR PLANTS AND PETS ARE AT RISK FROM THE COLD  TEMPERATURES.

8. I turned 35!!! :(

But Craig made me the best pot roast I have ever had. Yum!

Although I was a bit depressed to have turned one year older the birthday wishes & gifts from family and having the kids & Craig around made it a lovely day.

9. BBall

Sev started playing basketball

When we tell him we need to go and practice he says, "Dad I only practice with my team"

He's got a lot to learn :)

BUT he is really good at shooting. Nearly makes the basket everytime

10. Olivia's 8th Birthday

Liv wanted to have a tea party for her birthday.

Sev & his friend were the butlers and served the ladies. 

It was a delightful event (pretend I am saying that in Lady Grantham's voice)
